How does refusing unsafe work make you feel? What barriers exist to prevent some workers from exercising this right? As temperatures rise, workers do, too!
We are hosting a four-part workshop series to connect with workers, hear from community organizers, and promote our climate and labour justice digital toolkit. These workshops are open to anyone interested in joining to learn more about our campaign, share stories, and ask questions about your rights at work!
Our second session, Let’s Talk About Refusing Unsafe Work: Painting a Picture of Workers’ Concerns and Barriers will dive into some existing concerns workers have about refusing unsafe work during extreme heat, wildfires, and floods.
In this second session, we will be joined by a graphic recorder, who, through visual notetaking, will capture the stories we share related to how we feel about refusing unsafe work.
Together, through informal conversations, we will share experiences of how climate change impacts us and strategize ways to move forward as a collective.
If interested, please check out our digital toolkit which includes some basic information that will be covered in our workshop series.
