Over the past 5 years, we’ve helped over 300 workers win a total of over $100,000 back of owed wages, distributed over 10,000 educational material to non-unionized workers, and have had direct legislative victories in winning 5 paid sick days in 2021, the removal of server liquor wage, legislated gratuity protection and $12 million for the Employment Standards Branch in 2023.
But building power for the workers’ movement takes resources. We don’t have the same access to reliable and constant financial resources. As one of the few worker action centres in B.C., the Worker Solidarity Network needs your help to continue running the key pillars of our organization that offers many free resources to non-unionized workers. This includes: our legal advocacy program; workers’ education through our Know Your Rights resources on our website and workshop offerings; community events; and campaigning for policy change.
If everyone pitched in even $1, we would have a powerful fund that would allow the Worker Solidarity Network to keep its lights on, and continue to fight for workers throughout B.C. Will you help make that happen? We would deeply appreciate the support of individuals like you who share our commitment to decent work.
Important note: Because the Worker Solidarity Network is not a CRA registered charity, we are unable to offer charitable tax receipts for donations made through the form on this page.
