Community Campaigns

In addition to Worker Solidarity Network’s campaigns, we stand in solidarity with our community organizations and their campaigns.

Daily Bread Food Bank

It’s unacceptable that Canadians with disabilities should have to rely on food banks or choose between life’s basic necessities. The Canada Disability Benefit has the potential to provide a life of dignity – but we can’t afford to wait, and we have to get it right.

Migrant Spring!

Even in spring, working people are too worried about paying our bills to stop and smell the flowers. And we are being divided, the richest few are blaming im/migrants for rising costs. But migrants live here, we have deep roots, we grow and care for our communities and are excluded from basic rights. Together, this Migrant Spring, join us to unite against racism and win equality and permanent resident status for all.

Workers Deserve Better Transit

No matter where you live in BC, you should be able to get where you’re going
safely and affordably. Public transit can make that a reality — and B.C.’s unions
have released a plan to make it happen! Learn more here.

Public Pharmacare Now!

Inflation is eating away at our pocketbooks, forcing millions of us to choose between paying the rent, buying groceries, or filling our prescriptions. And sky-high drug prices are taking billions from our hospitals, at a time when we need to massively re-invest to save public health care. A publicly-funded, universal drug coverage program – also known as pharmacare – could change this.

B.C. Needs a Real Climate Emergency Plan

The summer of 2021 was devastating for many British Columbians, marked by the June heat dome event and the loss of over 600 people, hundreds of wildfires leading to people losing their homes, days of smoke, and thousands of evacuations. November 2021 saw the atmospheric river and devastating floods that drowned hundreds of thousands of farm animals and caused billions of dollars in public and private damage. People now understand the emergency is here and now.
