SUMMARY:Workers Rising: Organizer Training Day with WSN!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a full day on March 22nd at Grandview Church (1803 E. 1st Ave\, Vancouver\, B.C.) for a series of workshops where we share tools and information on how to organize in your community! \nAs we continue building worker power at the grassroots\, we want to create space for people who are interested in their rights as workers to come together and discuss ways to build a workers movement in B.C. Our day will consist of workshops including: \n\nKnow Your Rights as a B.C. Worker\nThe Climate Crisis in the Workplace\nHealth & Safety As An Organizing Tool At Your Workplace\nAnd more!\n\nDoors will open at 9am where light snacks and beverages will be provided.\nEveryone will have the opportunity to attend all the workshops as there won’t be any overlap.\nWe will have a zine making/ child-minding corner in the room where volunteers will be guiding people of all ages on how to create their own zines and where your child can also colour and create. All ages are welcome! \nThere will be a 1 hour lunch break where food and beverages will be provided to all registrants at no cost! Please indicate any allergies when you register. \nThe venue is wheelchair accessible and all bathrooms are gender neutral. We are excited about building community and want all our participants to be respectful towards each other and the staff. Masks will be mandatory.
